‘4th Generation K-Pop Leaders’ Stray Kids to Release New Mini Album ODDINARY and Title Track MANIAC on March 18!

Stray Kids, JYP’s first-ever million-selling artists, solidify their status as a global phenomenon with the well-made mini album ODDINARY, set to captivate fans worldwide.
The title track MANIAC condenses the group’s identity, showcasing Stray Kids’ unique and “maniac” individuality as a “group full of oddities,” leading the K-pop mainstream.
A self-producing group that has grown exponentially through their own music, Stray Kids once again participated in the entire production of ODDINARY, including the title track.

Stray Kids will release their new mini album ODDINARY and the title track MANIAC on March 18, 2022.

Beginning with their victory on Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War in 2021, the group quickly rose to the forefront of K-pop with songs that embodied their distinct identity, including God’s Menu from their 1st full album, Back Door from their repackage album IN生, and Thunderous from their 2nd full album. In particular, with NOEASY, they earned the title of “JYP’s first million-selling artists.” Now, with ODDINARY, their first mini album in years since Clé: LEVANTER (2019), they aim to further cement their success.

The album title ODDINARY combines the words “Odd” and “Ordinary,” delivering the message that “we all have odd sides, meaning odd is ordinary.” It embodies Stray Kids’ uniqueness and individuality, promising to once again lead the K-pop mainstream. Their witty naming style shines again, as seen previously in GO生 (GO LIVE), God’s Menu, IN生, NOEASY, and Christmas EveL.

The title track MANIAC presents Stray Kids’ unique style with a refreshing twist, sweeping global fans once again. The bold sound, unique and addictive chorus, and the group’s trademark energy create a powerful synergy. Lyrics such as “Like the seams of a torn doll, the true self eventually shows, life is not easy” deliver a sharp message encouraging listeners to break free from the frames set by society and reveal their true selves.

The music video visually amplifies the song’s distinctive sound, heightening immersion with scenes that shift in sync with the mood changes. Each member portrays unique characters, offering dramatic storytelling through their performances.

Led by 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), Stray Kids have consistently participated in producing their albums, achieving remarkable growth through self-created music. In 2021, they achieved significant milestones on platforms like Spotify, Instagram, and YouTube, and claimed four awards at year-end ceremonies, including their first grand prize just three years after debut.

The new album features seven tracks: the title track MANIAC, Venom, Charmer, Freeze, Lonely St., Waiting for Us (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, I.N), and Muddy Water (Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix). All members contributed to the credits, showcasing their depth in musicality.
